Lakeside Elementary School

Lakeside Elementary replaced an aging school building that had outgrown its enrollment, giving the district a new campus built around flexible, daylight-filled classroom pods rather than a traditional double-loaded corridor layout. MAZARINI worked closely with the district's facilities team to phase construction around the academic calendar, minimizing disruption to students at the adjacent temporary campus.

The design emphasizes shared, adaptable spaces — a central media center that doubles as community meeting space after hours, and outdoor classroom areas that extend learning beyond the building. Security and access control were built into the site plan from the start, with a single monitored entry point and clear sightlines throughout common areas.
